Day 1

Nottingham - Long Eaton - Derby - Ashbourne (40miles)

Ashbourne - Bakewell - Chatsworth - Chesterfield (37miles)

This will be an epic hilly ride, not for the faint hearted (unless you have an e-bike, then its a breeze!), taking in the best of the Peak District countryside, pausing to take in the West-front of Chatsworth House. We will finish with an evening stroll around Chesterfield, taking in the Market Place with 12th century origins.

Day 3

Chesterfield - Bolsover - Tuxford - Lincoln (45miles)

Day 3 is a long but relatively flat and easy ride, through the historic Dukeries, Sherwood Forest, stopping at Tuxford, once a fine coaching town left behind by the railways, finishing in Lincoln, which needs no introduction and is a fine setting for an evening city stroll.

Day 4

Lincoln - Newark upon Trent - Car Colston - Nottingham (40miles)

The final day will take in Newark upon Trent, with a guided walking tour of this fine medieval town, led by a local historian, then taking in Car Colston with its unfathomably large village green (the biggest in England? Why??), finishing back in Nottingham by tea time.
